MICHAEL SMITH / OWNER

Founder and President of Center-Line Construction, Mike has been called charming, personable, and extremely knowledgeable about everything construction by his staff and clients. On top of his likable personality, Mike has been in construction since he was 16 years old with his father. After working his way up from a carpenter to a general superintendent for a large bay area home builder, then working for a very high end custom home builder.  He established Michael F. Smith general contractor in 1983.  He later established Center-Line Construction in 1985 with his wife who is now enjoying retirement. Mike's thirty plus years of experience allows him to put all the puzzle pieces of a custom home project together with undeniable expertise, and in record time. Mike works closely with his clients and team to ensure a smooth transition from idea to reality. Through creative problem solving and analysis, and his understanding of building codes and materials, he seamlessly delivers fine designs from site, structure, budget, and schedule challenges. Mike’s goal is to have you and your family enjoying your custom home or new space as soon as possible, with the least amount of stress.  The success of this strategy is evident in the repeat client portfolio.

MICK DEMELLO / VICE PRESIDENT

Mikkel (Mick) started in the construction industry out of high school.  Having a successful career as a carpenter, Mick started DeMello Construction in 1995. Mick also started working with Center-Line Construction Inc. as a subcontractor in 1995. After working as a lead carpenter and superintendent for 22 years with Center-Line Construction Inc., Mick became Vice President in 2017. Mick’s always positive outlook is a welcome sight on all of our projects.  He has the ability to anticipate potential issues that can come up on a project. Mick has a talent for communicating well thought out options toward solutions for the ever changing challenges in construction. Mick is committed to enhancing the custom home building experience through continued education and staying current with all local building and city codes.  With Mick no detail is overlooked and the client is the center of the project. Mick's client-centered philosophy and passion for everything construction immediately shows through the look and feel of the homes he has built.

NICOLE SMITH / PROJECT MANAGER

Nicole has worked at Center-Line Construction since 2009.  Starting off in accounting and working her way up into Project Management.  In addition to performing accounting she’s also involved in ordering materials, scheduling subcontractors, and job site supervision. Nicole helps navigate the team through challenges that can come up with any project while maintaining client relations and satisfaction. Nicole has found her passion in construction.

MICHELLE LAMM / PROJECT MANAGER

Michelle has worked at Center-Line Construction since 2005. Starting off in accounting and working her way up into Project Management. She has established herself as a strong presence who is adept to guiding teams to successful project outcomes. Michelle provides oversight on Center-Line projects, assisting with planning, estimating, scheduling, issue resolution and accounting. Michelle loves being in the business of building custom homes and works to make sure that every client is more than satisfied with Center-Line Construction's services.
